Where can I find Kroll Ontrack’s currently open positions?

Visit the Job Search page to view all employment opportunities by job group, location and/or keyword. We encourage you to check back often, as our job openings are updated on a regular basis.

How do I search and apply for a position?

Kroll Ontrack uses an online job application system. You can search by location, key word and/or job category.  When viewing search results, click on the "Job Title" link to read more about the position. To submit your resume, click on the "Apply Online Now" link.

If you are a new user, you will be asked to enter your e-mail address and create a password. Please record your user name and password for future visits to the site.

How do I attach a file to my application?

From the Resume Tab within the application, you can attach a cover letter, resume or CV by clicking the "Browse" button and selecting the file you wish to attach. Once you have selected the file, click "Open" and then "Attach." You may attach up to 3 files of 200 MB.

After I submit my application will I receive a response?

Yes. You will receive an automated e-mail response confirming that your application has been received.

When can I expect to hear from Kroll Ontrack about my application?

If there is an interest in your application, you will most likely be contacted for an interview within 30 days of your application. We regret that we cannot contact all applicants regarding their status.

Will I be considered for positions other than the one for which I submitted my application?

We retain all applications in the database for a minimum of 120 days. Your application can be considered for multiple positions depending on your prior experience. Both your candidate profile and resume will be stored in our database and will be available to our recruiters.

Will Kroll Ontrack notify me if there are new positions that fit my skill set?

Within your candidate profile you can designate your "Job Preferences." Included are your preferred job location(s) as well as your other expressed specifications. After choosing your preferences, you must activate the checkbox indicating that you would like to receive notifications. If a newly posted position matches your designated preferences, you will be notified via e-mail.

Why am I being asked to include gender and race/ethnicity information on my application?

This information is being sought for purposes of government-required reporting and statistical analysis relating to Equal Employment Opportunity (U.S.) and Equality and Diversity (U.K).  Participation is voluntary.  Declining to provide this information will not subject you to adverse treatment and will in no way affect your application for employment or any employment decisions made by Kroll Ontrack.

How can I best prepare for my interview?
  • Do your research!  Get familiar with Kroll Ontrack and our business lines by reviewing our Web site at www.krollontrack.com. The News Release page is helpful in understanding recently launched products and services, and the Company History section will help you understand how Kroll Ontrack has grown. Read up and hone in on the business line for which you are applying. 
  • Develop a list of questions to ask the interviewers.  Just as you will be asked questions about your background and experience, the interviewers will also want to know that you are curious and want to learn more about the job and organization.
  • Dress in business professional attire; make sure that you know where Kroll Ontrack is located so you arrive on time.  Give a firm handshake, ensure eye contact, and listen carefully to the interview questions.
  • Review your accomplishments in preparation for the interview. This will enable you to demonstrate and discuss how your previous experience lines up with Kroll Ontrack’s mission, vision and values.
  • At the close of the interview, express interest by asking about next steps.
  • Follow up with an e-mailed thank you note to the recruiter with instructions to forward on to the interviewers.

Technical FAQs

I am having difficulty accessing the application. What do I do?

If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, you may contact 952-974-4577 or EPTalentAcquistion@krollontrack.com for assistance.

I have never applied for a job at Kroll Ontrack. Why does it say that my e-mail account already exists in the database?

Kroll Ontrack is the technology services division of Kroll Inc., the global risk consulting company within Altegrity Inc. All Altegrity operating companies use the same database for employment applications. If you have applied to any Altegrity company, you will have to use the same username and password to log in again. Do not try to register as a new user, as you will continue to get the same error. If you do not remember your login details please use the “Forgot Password” link.

I forgot my password or want to change it. What should I do?

On the login page, click the "Forgot Your Password?" link. After you verify your username and e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail with a security code and further instructions.

I forgot my username. What should I do?

On the login page, click the "Forgot Your Username?" link. You will be asked to verify your contact information; please ensure that you enter your information exactly as you did the first time you applied. If the details are not an exact match, we will be unable to determine if you are the same candidate and will be unable to send out your username. If a match is successful, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access your username.

I did not receive the e-mail to change my password or username. What should I do?

You may not have received the e-mail to change your password or username for various reasons. Please ensure that:

  1. Your e-mail software is not filtering out e-mails from people outside of a certain contact list. If this is the case, modify your list of contacts to accept this e-mail.
  2. Your e-mails are not being filtered into other folders in place of your inbox. Please check all folders for the e-mail.
  3. Your e-mail provider does not block e-mails with HTML attachments. If your provider does block HTML attachments, you will be unable to receive our e-mails unless you change your e-mail provider.
The security code I received is invalid. What should I do?

It may be that your security code has expired or has been invalidated by your e-mail software settings. Open the Web page attached to the message you received and try again by clicking on the link provided.

The system says my account is locked. What should I do?

Your account may become locked after several unsuccessful attempts are made to log in using the wrong password. The account usually unlocks itself after 15-30 minutes. Please wait 30 minutes and try again. You may want to use the "Forgot Password" or "Forgot Username" option.

Why am I unable to create another account under my e-mail address?

The e-mail address is used as a unique identifier; therefore two people may not use the same e-mail address to apply. If there is already someone registered under your e-mail address, or if you have registered before and do not remember your log in information, please use the "Forgot Password" or "Forgot Username" option or use a different e-mail address.

I no longer want to receive e-mail updates on job opportunities. What should I do?

To stop receiving job opportunity e-mails, log into your candidate profile and update your e-mail preferences under Account Options.

I did not complete my job application, but I still received an acknowledgement. Why?

Your application is acknowledged when you have reached or completed a specific page. You can continue to add information to your application if the job is still posted, but you will not receive another acknowledgement.

I was applying for a position and I got an error message. What should I do?

If you received a system error or an error uploading an attachment, please close the window and try again in a few minutes.
