ElectronicDataInvestigator™ software enhances Kroll Ontrack’s computer forensics services, helping you easily find all of the digital footprints crucial to your case.

This easy-to-use software tool allows you to view, search, sort, bookmark, and report on the data important to your computer forensic investigation. It gives you the ability to conduct investigations on electronic files without the need for the native applications or additional software. You simply install ElectronicDataInvestigator, point it at the data returned from Kroll Ontrack, and begin your computer forensic investigation.

ElectronicDataInvestigator’s features include:

• Simple User Interface – ElectronicDataInvestigator simplifies the investigation of computer forensics data with its easy-to-use button structure and large file viewing area. The interface has the familiar “look and feel” and ease of use of Microsoft® XP® and Outlook®. You can customize the screen real estate by minimizing and maximizing all sections of the screen to view more or less of a document, the metadata, and other sections.
  
• Universal Data Viewing – By using ElectronicDataInvestigator software, you save money because you do not need to purchase native software packages to view the documents important to computer forensic investigations. With ElectronicDataInvestigator, you can view the file we recovered and you can see all of the metadata associated with those files.
  
• Enhanced Searching – Kroll Ontrack makes searching easy with ElectronicDataInvestigator software. Its search functionality features “terms and connectors” searching – allowing you to search in a way that is both familiar and easy to use. Plus, you can search emails, attachments, documents and more, which helps you locate a needle in the haystack and recreate critical events.
  
• Capability to Bookmark Important Files – As you review the data, ElectronicDataInvestigator allows you to bookmark files and folders, marking them as important to the investigation. You also can place comments on the bookmarked files or folders, which can become part of your own reports.
  
• Customized Reporting Options – After bookmarking a file, you can easily create customized report that will help you present the forensic findings to the judge, jury, or opposing parties.
