Offered several times throughout the year, the Kroll Ontrack Certification Course is the industry’s most highly-acclaimed program for legal and technical professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and expertise in managing electronically stored information for litigation, investigations and regulatory matters. As a result of ever-evolving legal and technical developments and feedback from our attendees, Kroll Ontrack has revamped its program to include both an intermediate and advanced course. This evolution in the program’s history offers you and your corporation, law firm or government entity a custom approach suitable to your knowledge level and desire to master e-discovery preparedness techniques, technology awareness, and cutting-edge legal issues and rules.
Who Should Attend This Course? This course is designed for legal and technical professionals of all levels including in-house counsel, records managers, IT staff, law firm attorneys, litigation support professionals, paralegals and government officials. Any individual with responsibility for identifying, preserving, collecting, reviewing and producing ESI in an investigation, litigation or regulatory matter should attend this course.

What Will Be Covered In This Course? The intermediate course curriculum will cover a variety of topics, including: records management strategies, preservation and collection challenges and risks, an introduction to computer forensics, common production issues and solutions, early case assessment (ECA) techniques and benefits, advanced searching technologies, and document review and Intelligent Review Technology. The advanced course curriculum will cover a variety of topics, including: global disputes and investigations, data security concerns and considerations, advanced computer forensics, cloud computing, archive and backup data management, social media, ethics, preservation, data collection, and Intelligent Review Technology.
Course Format and Accreditation The two-day course is held at Kroll Ontrack corporate headquarters near Minneapolis, Minnesota and is comprised of lectures and small group break-out sessions. Attendees will choose between an intermediate and advanced curriculum. While the intermediate course offers attendees a broad view of discovery essentials, the advanced course builds upon the intermediate course and offers more technical depth and practical application. Intermediate course completion is required prior to enrolling in the advanced course. Attendance is limited to approximately 50 participants for each course to allow for open discussion. This course is pending approval by the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education for 10 standard credit hours.

Kroll Ontrack will provide you with hotel booking information upon confirmation of your registration. Tuition: $1500 *$995 early bird rate available for each course if you register at least 2 weeks prior to event. *$795 per person when two or more people register from the same organization.
