Licensing Options - Ontrack® PowerControls™

Ontrack PowerControls offers flexible licensing options; including a centralized licensing model to allow organizations to customize a license to fit their current and future needs. The centralized licensing model eliminates the need to identify all license IDs at the time of purchase. Instead, a “pack license” can be purchased, giving administrators the ability to reserve and deploy IDs as their needs grow and change.

Ontrack PowerControls for Exchange - Licensing

Corporate license options accommodate the needs of those customers who want to use the product within their own organization. Further customization is available via purchase of add-on features, allowing you to tailor Ontrack PowerControls even more to your specific needs.

Ontrack PowerControls license options are designed to meet the need of the size of your Exchange environment, with licensing based on servers and mailboxes. Three corporate license edition options are available.

 The Standard and Business Editions will not open an .EDB file that has more than the designated number of mailboxes

 The Standard, Business and Enterprise Editions will not open an .EDB containing an unlicensed server name.

Alternatively, commercial license options are available for those customers intending to use Ontrack PowerControls to service and provide recovery and restoration solutions their own customers. Ontrack PowerControls Commercial Edition is available as an annually renewable license, or can be customized and tailored to fit a certain project or other specific usage cycle.

Ontrack PowerControls for SharePoint - Licensing

The Ontrack PowerControls application for SharePoint offers flexible licensing options to fit your organization’s SharePoint environment.

• The Enterprise Edition will not open an .mdf containing an unlicensed content database name.
• The Enterprise Edition may be installed on any number of computers as long as the total number of content databases managed does not exceed the total number licensed.
• Enterprise Edition may not be used for commercial or financial gain

The Commercial Edition is licensed for use on an unlimited number of servers for a specified period of time. The Commercial license includes a one year subscription period and requires a USB hardware key (dongle) to operate. Each Commercial license can be used according to the following guidelines:

• If used in a lab environment, one license required per establishment per simultaneous use per year.
• If used in a mobile technician environment, one license required per technician per year.

The OEM Edition is licensed to companies for integration into server or storage solutions.

*Corporate Licensing (Standard, Business, Enterprise) is a perpetual use license model and pertains to those companies who use the product "in-house" to serve their company's needs within the organization. Please note that the Corporate Licensing model may not be used for commercial or financial gain including, but not limited to, using it for technical or consulting services.

**Commercial Licensing is an annually renewable license model and is available for technicians, consultants or for organizations with technicians "in-the-field," who use the product in conjunction with services of any kind provided to third parties. Each license grants unlimited use according to the guidelines below. After each license period, each license is terminated unless renewed. 

• If used in a lab environment, one license is required per establishment per simultaneous use per year
• If used in a mobile environment, one license is required per technician per year
