Kroll Ontrack announced the launch of its First Responder Program, a free, unique educational experience that empowers organizations to better manage their most vital resource – its electronic information. Comprised of a series of interactive presentations, the First Responder Program allows IT professionals to learn data loss prevention and recovery best practices, evaluate their organization’s data loss preparedness state and obtain a customized report with steps on remedying data protection vulnerabilities.
Available via 20-minute Webinars or onsite at your organization, the First Responder Program covers timely ILM topics, including data loss, hardware failures, virtualization/VMware, RAID (server structure), data erasure, SSD and cloud computing. Upon completion of each session, attendees fill out a self-evaluation regarding their organization’s state of preparedness with respect to the session topic. The self-evaluations then become the basis of a customized report aimed at helping organizations ultimately reduce their data loss risk.
“Over the past decade, many new storage technologies have emerged challenging IT staff to stay apprised of how to optimize these tools while also keeping business continuity and disaster recovery plans up-to-date,” said Abhik Mitra, data recovery product manager. “The First Responder Program not only equips IT with first-class education, but also concrete consulting advice from the data recovery market leader at no cost, so corporations can put themselves in the best position possible to protect their organizations from data loss.”
“Data loss preparedness is critical to an organization’s overall health state,” said Todd Johnson, vice president of Ontrack Data Recovery operations. “With more than 25 years of experience in the information management and data recovery industries, Kroll Ontrack possesses extensive expertise in preparedness and response best practices, technology applications and risk management.”
