Ontrack enhances personal privacy with introduction of internet cleanup software

Internet CleanupTM quickly and easily removes Internet tracking data from a computer hard drive

– ONTRACK Data International, Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDI), a leading provider of data availability software and service solutions, today announced the availability of Internet CleanupTM , an Internet data privacy software solution that automatically and permanently removes Internet tracking data such as cookies, history files, cache files ActiveX controls and plug-ins.

“Technology has evolved to the point where data resulting from Web surfing can be used by Web sites to identify users and their behavior patterns,” said Jon Eisele, product line manager, Ontrack. “Internet Cleanup regularly and automatically cleans your PC of Internet tracking data, reduces the effectiveness of Web sites tracking your behavior and prevents others from prying into your browsing habits.” Internet Cleanup features an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface with a one-click auto-erase function. The application is completely customizable, permitting users to schedule the removal of Internet tracking data and specify which Web site cookies to keep.

The program works with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 operating systems, and supports all major Web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, America Online's browser and Opera.

Internet Cleanup is currently available for $24.95. It can be purchased online at as well as in retail stores.
