Ontrack announces agreement with Cybec

Ontrack (Nasdaq: ONDI) today announced its distribution agreement with Cybec Pty, Ltd. This agreement brings together the world’s leading data recovery provider and one of the industry’s highest-rated anti-virus software development companies. Under the conditions of the agreement, Ontrack® will provide Cybec’s Vet anti-virus solutions as an enhancement to the companies’ unique combination of software and services designed to protect and care for users’ valuable data.

Through the agreement, Ontrack has exclusive rights to distribute Vet anti-virus software in North America, Germany, and France, and non-exclusive distribution rights throughout most other parts of the world. Ontrack will distribute Vet on-line and through direct sales. In addition, the scanning portion of Vet will be available for free download from the Ontrack Web site in early February and will be bundled with Ontrack Data Advisor™ software by the end of first quarter, 1998. Cybec will bundle Data Advisor software with its Vet products throughout the world.
