Ontrack appoints Lee Lewis President And COO

ONTRACK Data International, Inc., (Nasdaq: ONDI), the world leader in data recovery services, today announced the appointment of Lee B. Lewis as president and chief operating officer.

Lewis joins Ontrack from Ancor Communications, Inc., a primary developer and manufacturer of gigabit/sec Fibre Channel switches and adapters where he served as vice president, chief financial officer and corporate secretary from 1993-1997 and most recently as vice president of administration. As CFO at Ancor, Lewis raised over $9 million in an initial public offering and $18 million in two subsequent private placements.

“Lee brings significant business management experience to Ontrack which will allow him to quickly take full responsibility of our day-to-day operations,” said Mike Rogers, CEO of Ontrack. “This will allow me to focus my energies entirely on examining expansion opportunities with which to build our business. As we've said in the past, product diversification will be one of the ways we will reach our goal of supplying Ontrack data recovery solutions to the widest possible range of customers, and I am enthusiastic about fully focusing my energies in this area.”

Prior to joining Ancor Communications, Lewis founded Magnetic Data Inc., the largest worldwide contract manufacturer in the data storage aftermarket, where he served in a variety of capacities for eleven years. Lewis holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in finance from Michigan State University.
